Ughetto and Pandora’s Christmas is a story about how panettone, an italian sweet bread loaf, was invented.
The story consist of six pieces alternating the narration:
1.Pastoral, 2.Ughetto on his way, 3. Pandora’s Theme, 4.Ughetto at work, 5. Fanfare, 6. Dulcis in Fundo
There are two distinct versions of the music: the first one is for alto recorder and harpsichord, the second one is for variable ensemble (three voices and some percussions).
The text is the same for all versions. Original language is italian. English translation distributed through amazon (Search for “Ughetto and Pandora’s Christmas”)
The music can of course be played like a suite even without text.

Il Natale di Ughetto e Pandora è un racconto musicale che narra dell’invenzione del Panettone, il tipico dolce natalizio milanese e italiano. La narrazione è intercalata da sei brani:
1.Pastorale, 2. Ughetto in viaggio, 3. Pandora, 4. Ughetto al lavoro, 5. Fanfara, 6. Dulcis in Fundo
La musica è stata scritta in due versioni distinte: una più articolata per flauto dolce e cembalo e una più semplice a strumentazione variabile (tre voci con l’aggiunta di alcune percussioni).
Il testo originale in italiano è lo stesso per le due versioni. Alcune traduzioni sono in programma, ma non sono ancora state completate.
La musica si può naturalmente suonare in forma di suite anche senza testo.
